Captivating Night of Live Entertainment, Fair Trade for Talent Competition Enters Round Two at the Outpost.
Tuesday 30th June saw the opening night in a series of seven very special Talent Shows at the Door County Outpost Gallery and Café.
Billed as the "Fair Trade for Talent Project", the Outpost hosted 3 talented musicians, each taking center stage in a competitive format, with Door County's very own Emily Rose Bishop sweeping aside the competition to progress to the Grande Finale on August 15th.
This lively evening of interactive entertainment was like nothing ever seen in Door County before. A voting audience, including several high-profile 'Community Judges', remained glued to their seats until the final scores were revealed around 10 pm. A panel of Celebrity Judges provided the spice, with popular musician Dorothy Scott, Egg Harbor Visitors Bureau Executive James Flinn, and local businessman Bruce Hill, each delivering a revealing and insightful critique for the performers in an 'American Idol' format.
The comprehensive evening of entertainment included complimentary wine and beer tastings and a free raffle with over $500 in prizes donated by program sponsors.
Tuesday 7th July sees round two, with new performers, new judges and the same exciting format sure to deliver a hat full of unexpected twists and turns.
Jana Holland (the Hollands), Bill and Kate Isles and Mike Black compete for a spot in the August 15th Grande Finale at the Door County Outpost.
The show starts at 7 pm and we recommend making reservations to avoid disappointment. Admission is free, donations to help toward artists expenses and prize money are welcomed.
