The Peninsula Pub Wins 2010/2011 Hot and Spicy Food Award!

The Door County Hot Sauce Society awarded the Peninsula Pub its prestigious ‘Best of the Best’ award for outstanding hot and spicy foods.

The award is given to only one establishment each year, with Husby’s in Sister Bay the 2009/10 recipient.

It’s been a while in the making, but the program ‘Something Special From Door County’ is getting ready to launch in a few days.

The program basically vets local businesses/products and provides a ‘Seal of Approval’ to those offering true ‘Door County Made’ products.

Just before the start of the 2011 season, John Henry moved locations from downtown Egg Harbor out to Stonehedge Golf Course on County E. The new location has a very different atmosphere, more modern, great view of the golf course, and just an altogether more appealing setting.

JH is offering similar food selections but aims to gradually increase the menu, heading towards more of a ‘Supper Club’ style of menu, with steaks, pasta etc.
